Component Fabrication Attempt #15

The following actually represents about 5 different component fabrication attempts, but for the sake of simplicity I have combined it all down into the one example.

The first example represents a clean printed surface.  I would like to say that it was typical, however this is not the case.  More than half of the components I printed had some sort of visible error, and nearly a third were bad enough that I considered reprinting them.  The second example shows the error where the printed plastic doesn't adhere to the already printed surface and are dragged across gaps to form wispy trails.  In many cases these can be cleaned away with a knife, but in this case they were too extensive.  The third example shows a number of layers not printing correctly and leaving large visible gaps in the surface of the object.  In many cases there were only one or two errors like this on the component, however in several cases it was extensive enough to require reprinting.

VERDICT:  FAILURE
