Concept Development

Here is an initial concept development sketch I did to explain how the house would work.  Because of the way a mobius strip works it is required that you be able to walk upside down on the underside of the floor.  There were experiments done with the mobius strip and ants to demonstrate this, but since we are not ants, and cannot walk up walls or across the ceiling this presented a problem.  To overcome this issue I have ignored the rules of gravity in their strictest sense and taken the direction of gravity as any normal to the floor.  This means that you every room has a conventional floor, walls and ceiling like any regular building, it also means that even though the floor curves and seems steep, there will never be the sensation of walking up or down hill as force of gravity is always 90 degrees to the floor.

Also, here is the first completed mobius object I made in sketchup.  Unlike my other attempts it is not just a surface, but is a solid object with completed faces.
